Description

Dr. N. Đurišić-Mladenović has around 20 years of work experience mainly at the Faculty of Technology Novi Sad (FoTNS). She defended MSc and PhD thesis in Chemical Engineering at FoTNS (2006 and 2012, resepctively), while BSc in Food processing-Microbiological processes (1996, FoTNS). She was a holder of the scholarship of the Ministry for Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia, 1996-2000, when she started to be involved in the research activities of FoTNS. In the period 2003-2015 she was employed at FoT NS as a Junior Research Assistant, a Research Assistant and a Research Associate.

She teaches at the Faculty of Technology from 2015; currently, she is responsible for theoretical and practical lessons within BSc courses on Alternative fuels, Biofuels, Waste Gas Treatment, and Combustion processes; at PhD studies, she teaches Technology of Biodiesel Production; for the last accreditation round of FoT NS she developed a new PhD course on Liquid fuels production by thermochemical and chemical conversion of biomass.

She has significant experience within the field of environmental science, biodiesel production and characterization, applied chemometrics in source identification and sample classification, application of gas chromatography, and atomic absorption spectrometry; her research interest lies also in the field of other alternative fuels, waste-to-energy valorization, environmental protection and remediation, chemical contaminants monitoring.

She is a Principal Investigator for the Serbian team involved in bilateral project of Serbia-Germany “Assessing environmental and social impacts of Regional BIoeconomy Systems (REBIS)”, which is funded by the Serbian Ministry for Education, Science and Technological Development and DAAD (Germany), 2020-2021. Most recently, as a Principal Investigator of the Serbian team she has established collaboration with Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India, within the latest call for Serbian-Indian bilateral project proposals in 2021-2023, with primary aim of the proposed project to jointly investigate new bio-based additives of biodiesel/diesel blends in hybrid engines (the project proposal evaluation is expected to be finished till the end of 2020).

Currently, she is preparing a research project proposal with major focus on HT solid and liquid phase utilization.Within this proposal, participation in HyFlexFuel events is planned.

She has been actively involved in many training activities at national and international level, including the most recent training of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) “Biomass Utilization Technology” run by reputable Prof. Dr. Y. Matsumura from the Hiroshima University, Higashi-hiroshima, Japan, 5 January-8 February 2020; Dr. Đurišić-Mladenović was one of two researchers chosen by JICA to be representatives for Serbia with full JICA training scholarship.

Under the COST Action TD1203 EUBIS, she performed short-term scientific mission (STSM) entitled “Chemometric assessment of large data bases of parameters on  thermochemical conversion of bio-waste” at Biomass and Waste Group, Chemical Engineering Department, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece (host: Prof. Dr. Anastasia Zabaniotou), 1-31 July 2014.

Dr. Đurišić-Mladenović has participated in 10 national, 6 international (1 FP7, 3 IPA HU-SRB, 2 COST) and 7 bilateral projects (2 with Hungary, 1 with Slovenia, 1 with Spain, 1 with China, 1 with Portugal and 1 with Germany) dedicated to the environmental pollution and control, chemical contaminants analysis, waste valorization, green technologies, etc. She was a Communication Coordinator in FP7 CEFSER project in 2009-2012.
